University of Mississippi is a public research university which was formally established in 1848. The university is also known as Ole Miss, which is one of the flagship educational system in America. The university is located in Oxford, Mississippi, United States. In addition to the main campus university located in Oxford, the university also has branch campuses located in Booneville, Grenada, Tupelo, Southaven, and in Jackson.

Through schools, including the School of Education, School of Engineering, School of Business Administration, School of Law, College of Liberal Arts, School of Farmas, School of Accounting, School of Medicine, and the School of Nursing, the University offers a variety of degree programs in various fields of study majors.

In addition to providing education on the university campus, the university also provides knowledge and additional information for their students through the university library. Where the university library is home to almost 1.9 million collection volumes and features the Hall of Mississippi Writers and James Meredith's papers.

Not only that, the university is also home to the last-known writer, William Faulkner's and one of the greatest places in the world for a collection of blues recordings archives, where BB King donated the entire collection of personal notes for this university.

With school pride colors, namely blue and red cardinals, as well as the mascot, dubbed the Rebels, the university's sports teams compete with other universities in the NCAA Division I Athletics competition.
