Asbury University is a private liberal arts college founded in 1890. The university also is a multi-denominational institution that aims to bring spiritual development to students based on four cornerstones: scripture, holiness, stewardship and mission. At the time of its inception, the institute was named Kentucky Holiness College, then renamed Asbury University, in honor and memory of the founder of American Methodism, Bishop Francis Asbury. The university is located in Wilmore, Kentucky, United States.

With its 14 academic departments, including the existing College of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, School of Communication, as well as the School of Graduate & Professional Studies, the university offers 52 majors with a variety of degree programs in it. In addition, the university campus also has a program called the Asbury Theological Seminary.

During orientation, each incoming Asbury class is assigned two faculty sponsors, and Collectively chose an original name, class colors, and hymn verse that will constitute Reviews their class' identity for the next four years. According to official data the university, students are studying in this university came from 44 states and 14 foreign nations, and most of them chose to stay at the university campus housing.

There are some traditions that are routinely always held by members of the university, such as the activities carried out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the day in which the members of the university comes together to worship communally in the stained glass Hughes Auditorium. There was also another tradition, that when a class hymn is sung in chapel, class call now stands individually and sings Reviews their verse.

And from non-academic fields, especially sports, this university has been providing a wide range of facilities and infrastructure to accommodate hobbies and talents of students in the exercise, dubbed by the Eagle. With this facility, it is expected that students with university sports teams were able to demonstrate their achievements in NAIA competition.
