West Virginia University

West Virginia University is a public research university founded in 1867. Besides having a central campus located in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States, the university also has 2 campuses again in another place, the West Virginia University Institute of Technology, which is in Montgomery, and Potomac State College of West Virginia University, which is located in Keyser.

Through 15 colleges, including Davis Faculty of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, Eberly College of Arts & Sciences, Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, Reed College of Media, College of Business & Economics, College of Physical Activity & Sports Sciences, College of Law, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and the School of Pharmacy, the University offers a variety of degree programs ranging from undergraduate, graduate, masters, up to doctorate.

Although the university has provided a variety of majors courses, however, there are several areas of study which is the main focus of this university, which includes the arts and sciences, business, agriculture and public health.

And to support the educational process of students, the university has had a library that is used as a place to look for other additional information. Where in the library there are more than 1.5 million printed volumes, over 2 million microforms and 10,000 electric journals.

Not only offers academic programs on campus alone, the university also provide and allow students to be able to join and participate with about 400 activities of the organization. Where in the organization, including in it there is also 20 fraternities and 8 sororities.

Many achievements and awards that have been achieved by this university. noted, since the first time the university was officially founded, until today, this university has produced 25 Rhodes Scholars, 22 Truman Scholars, 33 Goldwater Scholars and 39 Fulbright Scholars.

While other achievements that have also been won by members of the university came from the rifle team, where all the NCAA National Championships competition, the team has managed to become the winner 16 times.

And for students who also want to develop their talents and demonstrate achievements in sports, can join the university sports teams. With the university's mascot , nicknamed the Mountaineer, this university sports teams compete with other universities in the NCAA Division I athletics in the Big 12 Conference.
