University of New Mexico is a public research university founded in 1889. The University is one of the flagship institution in America, especially in terms of research, and categorized as a research university with a very high level. The university is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
Through schools, including the School of Architecture and Planning, School of Engineering, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Public Administration, College of Arts, College of Education, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and including also Anderson School of Management, the university offers a wide range of majors fields of study with approximately 87 bachelor's degree programs, 72 master's, and 38 doctoral programs.
In addition, the university also offers lectures on class hours night and on weekends each semester. Where in the class, the university also has provided about nearly 40 programs nontraditional majors to about 12,000 students.
Meanwhile, on the sports field, this university has a mascot called Lobo Louie. The selected mascot in 1960's, and since the 1980's, the mascot has officially become the official mascot of the university man and joined the Lobo Lucy.
The university also has a the Pit, which is a place of pride among the university sports teams, the basketball team. Because, since it was first unveiled in 1966, the team always get the national rankings in every season.
