George Fox University

George Fox University is a private liberal arts college located in Newberg, Oregon, United States. The University was founded in 1885 as the Friends Pacific Academy by Quaker pioneers. And in 1949, the university changed its name to the present, after the founder of the Quaker movement, George Fox.

In addition to its main campus located in Newberg, and with some university campuses are located in several areas, such as in Portland, Salem and Redmond, making this university as the third largest private university in Oregon. In addition, the university also is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

Through college, the university is offering a six seminary degrees, 12 master's and doctoral degrees, and more than 40 majors, including the Department of Communication Arts, Computer Science, Accounting, Economics, Management, Engineering, and Arts. There is one program in the university campus which made a name so famous universities, namely because the university has a rehabilitation program for non-drinkers or drug-users.

In addition to mandatory follow any activities organized by the university campus, therefore, all students are required to sign agreements lifestyle, the which include attendance in chapel and current events gatherings as well as an obligation to participate in service projects.

Not only academic activities, students are also able to join and participate in non-academic activities, for example in sports activities. Because the university has sports teams, nicknamed the Bruins, who competed with sports teams from other universities in the NCAA Division III Athletics competition.

Once the magnitude of the university's attention to sports activities, especially at the university baseball team. This can be seen when some time ago that the university fundraising campaign of up to $ 800,000, in order to improve the facilities and infrastructure baseball team.
