University of Montana is a public research university founded in 1893. The University is one of the flagship campus that is part of the University of Montana System. The main campus of the university is the area of 56 acres along the Clark Fork River at the base of Mount Sentinel in Missoula, Montana, USA, which is the second largest city in the state of Montana.

And to the South campus, which has an area of approximately 180-acre, also used as a place for student housing, golf courses, and the university's football field.

The University has one of the very famous landmarks, namely a letter in the form of the letter "M", which was built in 1908 by the students, which is located on the side of Mount Sentinel. With the 125-foot-tall concrete sign stands at the end of a ¾ mile trail overlooking Missoula.

With mascot, dubbed Monte the Grizzly Bear, the university sports teams compete with other universities in the NCAA Division I athletics competition. In addition, the university's football team competes against Montana State University in the "Brawl of the Wild."
