Northeastern University is a private university located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The University was founded in 1898.

University has nine colleges and schools offering undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees. Students who want to take here can choose faculty that are already available, such as Bouvé Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Criminal Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, School of Law, School of Professional Studies and the School of Technology Entrepreneurship.

The University is famous for its Co-op program, giving students the option, the two alternate semesters of full-time study with semesters of full-time employment in a four or five-year programs. Typically, the students who take this course will gain real work experience, up to 18 months. Co-op program is offered to more than 69 countries, including the Dominican Republic, Belize, South Africa, and even to Antarctica.

Other programs offered by the university is to study abroad, to more than 43 countries, such as Japan and the UK. In addition, Northeastern's International Business program also provides an opportunity for students to obtain a dual-degree in a sister school in Europe or Mexico.

With the programs that have been offered by the university, allowing students in the first year, will spend their first semester studying abroad, such as in Australia, Greece, the UK or Ireland.

Many important people and famous who is a graduate of Northeastern University, including the founder of Twitter, Biz Stone, and the founder of Napster, Shawn Fanning.

In the non-academic, university sports teams compete with other teams in the competition of the NCAA Division I athletics.
