Indiana State University is a public research university founded in 1865. The University is also a member of the College Consortium of Western Indiana is located in Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. With the membership, allowing full-time students to take classes at other member institutions, including the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The University offers a variety of programs with different majors undergraduate and graduate degrees, including business majors programs, insurance, aviation, education, management, techniques, fine arts, nursing, school of music etc. Learning activities in university faculty is organized in each department, including the College of Technology, College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services, Bayh College of Education, College of Graduate and Professional Studies, Donald W. Scott College of Business, Faculty of Arts and Science.
Since 2009, the university has been creating a new Master Plan, a blueprint for campus improvements in academic programs, housing choices and other Infrastructures.
Many achievements and recognition achieved by the university, including the Arbor Day Foundation. The award was achieved due to the dedication of the university campus for sustainable forestry.
Of the non-academic, with a mascot named Sycamores, from the university's sports teams competing with other participants in the Division 1-AA kompestisi NCAA Athletics. To name the mascot itself changed, from the beginning of the named Sycamore Sam, became Sycamore, because they've known as Fighting Teachers.
