Abilene Christian University is a private Christian university that was established in 1906. This university affiliated with the Church of Christ is located in Abilene, Texas, United States, about 180 miles from Dallas.

The University offers a variety of majors and degree programs, including traditional liberal arts and sciences majors, degree programs in the biblical text, youth and family services as well as vocational mission. Learning activities at the university was held on the campus of the university, of which there are McDonald Hall, Nelson Hall, Gardner Hall, which is reserved for female students.

Various awards and achievements have been widely achieved by the university, including the Apple Distinguished School Award, an award which has been received by the university for the third time in Connected: Mobile Learning initiative. That is because this university is one of the schools in the United States who use the iPhone and iPod Touches for academic activities.

Many activities can be done by the students at this university, of which there is a tradition of Spring Break, Homecoming, and Sing Song, a musical tradition that has been held yearly since 1956.

Many important people and famous is part of the university or the alumni, of which there are several Olympic star and NFL star, such as Bobby Morrow, Olympic sprinter, winning three gold medals in 1956 and Earl Young, an Olympic gold medalist in the 4x400 relay race in 1960, and Ove Johansson, kicked the longest field goal (69 yards) in football history at a Wildcats homecoming game in 1976.

In the field of non-academic, from the university's sports teams, with a mascot named Willie Wildcat, compete with other participants in the NCAA Division I athletics.
