Central Michigan University is a public research university fourth largest in Michigan as well as one of the largest public universities in the United States that was founded in 1892. The university is located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, United States.
The University offers approximately 200 academic majors program with a wide range of undergraduate degrees and 70 graduate degree programs with majors, Specialist, Master or Doctorate level. Learning activities of students at this university who have been held in the college are available, some of the College of Business Administration, College of Science and Technology, Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions, College of Graduate Studies, College of Medicine.
There is one tradition which since 1998 has been organized by one of the colleges in the university, namely every Homecoming celebration, the College of Engineering Industry always gathered for the race, but not the race as usual, but the race boats made of cardboard.
To facilitate the learning activities of the students, the university has also provided dormitories inhabited by students majoring in each program. It is intended that every student can learn and interact with other students, so it will raise the knowledge and harmony among students.
In addition to studying, and to further enhance the sense of brotherhood, the students at this university can also be incorporated in various sororities fraternal organization that has been provided by the university.
Of the non-academic, university sports teams affiliated with the NCAA's Division I Athletics, with a mascot named Chippewas, compete with other participants in the Mid-American Conference, with seven men's and nine women's sports.
