Boise State University is a college at the same metropolitan research institutions established in 1932 by the Episcopal Church. University which was originally founded as Boise Junior College is located in Boise, Idaho, United States.

The University offers more than 200 degree field of study as well as graduate programs, including MBA and MACC program at the College of Business and Economics; Masters and PhD programs in the College of Engineering, Arts & Sciences, and Education; and the MPA program in the College of Social Sciences & Public Affairs.

One of the largest programs of this university, the Graduate School of Nursing, offers the nation's only master's degree in Raptor Biology, as well as the fastest program conducts research on biomolecular in Idaho. In addition, the university also supports research on Alzheimer's disease, breast cancer, artificial cartilage, chemotherapy drugs and other areas.

In addition, students at the university can also be incorporated in the ten fraternities and seven sororities under the auspices of the university. Football is one of the university's student association, as well as a popular program that is actively conducted in the fall.

Of non-academic, from the university's sports teams, the pride mascot, the Bronco, compete with other participants in the competition of the NCAA Division I Athletics. Bronco own name was chosen to reflect the location of west Boise and wild horses that roam the nearby Owyhee Canyonlands.
