Indiana University of Pennsylvania was established in 1875, is located at the University of Indiana, PA. In ancient times, these universities have only one building with as many as 225 students, however, now has become the largest campus by having a branch campus in the various areas, for example in Punxsutawney, Northpointe, and Monroeville.

The college offers 136 undergraduate programs, 57 master programs, and 11 doctoral programs. In addition, the Student Cooperative Association also has its own place which is outside the campus, the College Load, which also serves as a host to a community of hiking, cycling and skiing. The university also operates a culinary arts academy in Punxsutawney and a police academy in the main campus.

On campus there are Planetarium, Museum of the University, and a black box theater. And some time ago, this university has been renovated Hadley Union Building (HUB), a music library and also renovated Cogswell Hall, for the music community in the university.

There are more than 250 organizations on campus, including 14 fraternities and 13 sororities.

Many accomplishments that have been achieved by this university, one of which is has won more than 60 Fulbright scholarships.

With the mascot, the Crimson Hawk, from the university's sports teams compete with other teams in the Division II NCAA competition.
