Profileuniversity.com - University of Puget Sound is a private liberal arts university located in Tacoma, Washington, in the United States, about 35 miles south of Seattle. Established in 1888, the university imposed a four-year core curriculum in the liberal arts tradition. University of Puget Sound is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). University of Puget Sound was formerly affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Through its academic departments, the University of Puget Sound offers more than 50 traditional and interdisciplinary programs; 1,200 courses offered each year, with a wide range of academic degree programs, including Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Occupational Therapy, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

And to develop the best educational services as well as to meet the educational needs of the students, recently the university has won a $ 600,000 Mellon Foundation grant to restructure and expand interdisciplinary classes in the arts, humanities and technology. This is done by the university in order to meet about 2,600 students, which consisted of 43% males and 57% of women, who came from 44 countries, 16 countries.

Not only provide and offer educational activities alone, the university also provides financial assistance to students who need and for students who excel. According to the university, more than 90 percent of students receive financial aid based on need or merit scholarship. In addition, through organizations and associations of students, the University of Puget Sound also provides a wide range of non-academic activities. And one of the organizations active in this university are much in demand by students is a sports club. University of Puget Sound has several sports clubs which consists of a team of men and women's teams are nicknamed the Loggers. The Puget Sound Loggers Compete in NCAA Division III athletics and are members of the Northwest Conference.
