In fact, one of the schools owned by Syracuse University, SI Newhouse School of Public Communications, is ranked among the top communication schools in the nation.

As best educational institutions, it is not surprising that Syracuse University has delivered many important people and the world famous, including Vice President, Joe Biden, television icon, Dick Clark and sportscasters Bob Costas and Mike Tirico. And with the popularity of the alumni, thus indirectly also helped boost the good name of the university.

In addition to providing and provide academic programs, the university also provides a variety of other non-academic activities through student organizations and clubs, complete with a variety of amenities. Syracuse University has several sports clubs which consists of a team of men and women's teams are nicknamed the Orange, who participated in the NCAA Division I in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Through one of these athletic activities, in February 2014, Syracuse University has a record with the number 35.446 basketball fans who packed the stadium in a game against Duke University.
