Students can join and participate in more than 180 university clubs, including seven active Greek chapters.One of the active clubs at the university are also much in demand by the students is a sports club. Humboldt State University has several sports teams of men and women known as the Lumberjacks, which competes with sports teams from other universities in the NCAA Division II athletic competition.
