California Lutheran University is a private liberal arts college founded in 1959, by the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The university is only about nine miles from Malibu, California, precisely located in Thousand Oaks, California, USA.

Through the school, including the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Management, School of Education, and Professional School, the university offers a wide range of majors courses with various degrees, ranging from undergraduate, graduate, masters, to professional. In addition, through Barbara Collins Arboretum, students are also welcome to join in the study of botany who choose flora campus as study materials.

In 2011, the university established a building named the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art. Although an ordinary building which is used for art galleries, but what distinguishes the uniqueness of the building is the only building in America, founded in the athletics stadium belongs to the university campus.

There is a unique story that accompanies the history of this university, when on May 1, 1967, members of the university is celebrating Yam Yad. Which if carefully considered, Yam Yad is May Day, however, by members of the university, the word is read or spelled in reverse. Where in the Yad Yam, students celebrated by crossfire using artificial weapons bullets of water, and a balloon filled with water, to a TV program, Gunsmoke.

In addition, there are also other celebrations organized by the students of this university, the community service day. Where in the celebration today, this university students celebrate by doing relaxation by Zuma Beach.

Many famous figures in the world is an alumni of this university, such as a famous actor, James Duke Mason and 2006 Miss California Jacuqlynne Fontaine. Indirectly, the alumni is also the name of the university as a place to study.

And for students who want to develop their talents, and show achievements in the field of sports, can join the university sports teams. Because, with the mascot, dubbed Kingsmen (designation male sports teams) and Regals (designation women's sports teams), the university's sports teams compete with other universities in the NCAA Division III athletics competition.
