Belmont University is a private university founded in 1890. The University is one of the largest Christian university in Tennessee, more precisely located in Nashville's Belmont Mansion (a large antebellum home which remains open to the public today), Tennessee, The United States.

Through college, including the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, Gordon E. Inman College of Health Sciences and Nursing, Jack C. Massey College of Business, Massey Graduate School of Business Administration, College of Theology and Christian Ministry, College of Pharmacy, College of Law, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Visual and Performing Arts, and the Graduate School, the university offers a wide range of departments with various degree courses in each department.

The university is renowned for its music program, in fact, the university also offers one of the only AACSB International accredited programs for entertainment and music business in the world. In addition to the music program, majoring in liberal arts program is also one of the fast growing and most in demand by students at this university. In fact, this department has grown to be the largest non denominational Christian university in America.

Although grown into one of the top universities in America, even in the world, this university is not free from controversy that befell its members. As happened in 2010 ago, at which time the university was the caused widespread anti discrimination protests, when women's soccer coach Lisa Howe was allegedly fired after Announcing she was having a child with her same sex partner.

The controversy occurred after President Robert Fisher to add sexual orientation to the school's list of non-discrimination practices. And from that policy, the university finally officially admitted for the first time, as an institution that recognizes an organization that is devoted to the gays.

Although it had tarnished with slanted stories and controversy, however, this university has delivered many leading figures in the world, including the famous country music artists in America, Brad Paisley and Trisha Yearwood.

And for students who want to develop their talents and demonstrate achievements in the field of sports, can join the university sports teams. With as many as 17 sports teams, known as the Belmont Bruins, this university to compete with other universities in the NCAA Division I athletics competition.
