Texas Southern University

Texas Southern University is a college that was founded in 1947. The university is located in Houston, Texas, USA. Texas Southern University is one of the largest states historically black colleges in the nation.

The University offers approximately 80 majors programs of study, with a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Learning activities of students on campus were held at 11 universities that have been provided by the university, which are The Thomas F. Freeman Honors University, The School of Communication, the College of Liberal Arts and Behavioral Sciences, The Graduate School, The College of Science and Technology, School of Business, the College of Education, The College of Continuing Education, School of Law, The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the School of Public Affairs.

One school in this university, which is the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, has a very extensive library, which is located in the university campus.

University recognized by Forbes magazine as one of America's Top Colleges, is a manufacturer of African American pharmacists, of which about one third are graduates of this university. In addition, the university is responsible for about 3,000 jobs in the Houston metropolitan area.

One tradition that will also be the center of life at the university is The Walk, or the maroon and gray paved street on campus where the outdoor social activities are held.

Many important people and famous are alumni as well as members of the university, including notable Attendees include football player Michael Strahan-journalist and two-time Olympic gold medalist Jim Hines.
