Christopher Newport University is a public liberal arts college, which was founded by Captain Christopher Newport, the English sailor WHO captained the Largest of the three ships carrying settlers to Jamestown, in 1960. At the time of its founding, the university as a two-year branch of the College of William & Mary, and Became a full university in 1992. The university is located in Newport News, Virginia, USA.
