Profileuniversity.com - Western Kentucky University is a public university that is located on a hill in Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States. Although the university was founded in 1906 by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the roots of the school date back to the founding of the Glasgow Normal School in 1875.

Through its six colleges today, including the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Potter College of Arts and Letters, Gordon Ford College of Business, Ogden College of Science and Engineering, and Faculty of Health and Human Services, Western Kentucky University offers a variety of studies majors with a variety of degree programs in it, ranging from undergraduate to doctorate, including several majors for undergraduate programs that include biology, education, elementary, psychology, agriculture, and management.

Alma mater, Western Kentucky University, "College Heights", written by a 16-year-old girl named Mary Frances Bradley in 1924 when poetry contest held by Western Kentucky.

In addition to the alma mater proud member of the university, there are also other characteristics that also became the pride of the students at this university, namely "Hilltoppers", a popular nickname given to members of the university campus is because the layout location perched on a hill.

In addition to getting a variety of academic activities, students can also join the organization as well as student associations which have also been provided by the university. And from non-academic activities, especially athletics, Western Kentucky University has some health club comprising of a team of men and women's team that competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Sun Belt Conference.
