located in Austin, Texas, United States. The University was founded by
Reverend Edward Sorin of the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1878. He also
founded the University of Notre Dame is located in Indiana. Until now,
the Saint Edward's University remain affiliated with the Congregation of
Holy Cross and the Catholic Church.
Through
the school and its academic departments now, including the School of
Behavioral and Social Sciences, School of Education, School of
Humanities, School of Natural Sciences, and The Bill Munday School of
Business, Saint Edward's University offers more than 50 undergraduate
degree programs.
Academic Exploration Program
is one of the most popular programs are much in demand by students. This
program has been designed specifically for students who are undecided
about their career goals.
Every spring and
autumn, the school held a big event for students called "Hillfest",
which features live music concerts, a variety of different types of food
and fireworks in the sky campus.
There is a
tradition that is still often done by students who want to get good
grades on exams. They will rub noses plaque from Fr. Paul Foik located
outside the Library Munday.
While the athletic
events, Saint Edward's University has several university sports teams
consisting of men's team and women's team competing with sports teams
from other universities to be the best in NCAA Division II athletics
competitions
